The trend towards the ‘New and Lean’ Investment platforms in the ‘Cloud’ is gaining traction with POEMs (Portfolio Order and Execution Management with Accounting) becoming a reality.
IBOR now closer to the front-office will eliminate additional reconciliations and the need for real-time decision making will force other middle-office systems such as ‘RISK’ closer to PEOMs.
This will further blur the front-office/middle-office divide and firms with such integrated systems will have a huge competitive advantage because of faster time to market for new product offerings and reduced overall operational costs.
